It's that time of year again, when the weather gets balmy and completely all over the place. With this change of season comes the perfect piece of clothing to protect you from all sorts of crazy weather; the Trench Coat. Originally created by Thomas Burberry (yes, that Burberry) in 1901, it was made of water-resistant, breathable yet warm gabardine fabric. In World War 1, Thomas was commissioned to create half a million coats for the British army. The name, Trench coat, came from the soldiers who fought in the trenches and benefitted from the protection and mobility the coat offered them.

Of course, the style has changed a bit since 1901, but the practicality still stands. Mackage has taken this traditional coat, and made it their own! Of course, military green is their most popular color for their trench this spring. Pick up a trench in a cotton canvas material, or even in their signature water-proof polyester. With unique details and flawless design, you'll be sure to stand out, rain or shine!
